Jakarta,the capital city of Indonesia is full with history.One of the history is the name.Jakarta has changed its name as much as seven times.Jakarta's first name is Sunda Kelapa.The name is given by The Sunda Kingdom.The name was changed into "Kalapa" by the Dutch colony but after 300 years Dutch Colony, the "Sunda Kelapa" name is used to the city again
.Then the city's name changed into "Jayakarta".The name was given by the Sultanate of Cirebon after drive out the Portuguese troops in 1527.Then the name changed into "Batavia".The name was given by the name was given by the Dutch.Then the name changed into "Betawi",the melayunese language for Jakarta.Then the name changed into Jacatra,then back to Jayakarta,and after independence,the name changed back into "Jakarta.
